Telemedicine and COVID-19: Experience of Medical Doctors in Cameroon

Introduction : Since the beginning of Coronavirus disease2019 (COVID-19), hospitals and health centres have become sites potential contamination spread virus, had to reorganize their working environments limit infections patients care providers while continuing render services for those affected by other ailments. The purpose study was conduct a descriptive assess practice telemedicine among Cameroonian medical doctors through an electronic survey.
 Methodology: This cross-sectional conducted from May June 2020 using online data collection form designed on Google Forms. questions dealt with socio-demographic data, cancellation rate appointments, teleconsultation, frequency telephone use, means teleconsultation used quality doctor-patient relationship. Participants comprised all physicians practicing in Cameroon information communication technologies
 Results: A total 253 participants were included, 56.5% which women. Physicians ten regions country represented. Twenty percent (20.2%) practiced 3.2% continued teleconsultations quarantine. Seventy-five (75.4%) multiple modalities at same time; most modality combination others WhatsApp android application. Forty-six (41.6%) judged that relationship poor during teleconsultations.
 Conclusion recommendation: is not widespread poorly framed this setting. Regulatory authorities should put place regulations provide training frame ease access use
